Leaving a child in a hot car has become a significant concern throughout communities in the United States, with an average of nearly 38 children dying in hot cars each year. According to Kids and Car Safety, an organization dedicated to saving the lives of children in and around vehicles through data collection, analysis, and awareness campaigns, there have been 1,165 child deaths from hot car fatalities or heatstroke between 1990 and 2024
