Matt Breman

Steps for Prevention was created to honor the life and legacy of Matt Breman, a devoted advocate for children, accomplished attorney, and passionate runner. Matt’s commitment to service led him to Prevent Child Abuse Indiana, where he served on the board and later as President, championing the belief that every child deserves a safe and nurturing childhood.

After his untimely passing, Matt’s colleagues at Krieg DeVault sought a meaningful way to honor his impact and the causes he cared deeply about. In 2006, they established the Matt Breman Run, bringing together Matt’s love of running and his dedication to protecting children. Today, the run continues to unite the community in support of Indiana’s children while carrying forward Matt’s enduring legacy.
