Aging out of foster care is one of life’s hardest transitions, and no young person should have to face it alone. The Villages of Indiana Older Youth Services (OYS) program walks alongside current and former foster youth, ages 16 to 23, as they build a foundation for independence. As an OYS provider through the Indiana Department of Child Services, we serve 20 Indiana counties, with offices in Elkhart, Fort Wayne, and Terre Haute.
MORE WAYS WE WALK ALONGSIDE THEM
Every young person’s path to independence looks different, so our support covers the whole picture: education, employment, housing, physical and mental health, financial and asset management, daily living skills, and youth engagement.

Direct Financial Assistance
Thanks to our donors, The Villages may provide direct financial assistance to young people transitioning to independence, covering rent deposits, household essentials, gas, utilities, and other critical expenses.
THE EASIEST WAY TO HELP
We celebrate older youth in Indiana’s foster care system and rally DCS regions, OYS providers, and community partners around one goal: a successful transition to adulthood.
Our Amazon wish list collects the essentials these young people need for their first college dorm or apartment—bedding, kitchenware, cleaning supplies, and toiletries.
