As you continue effortlessly singing this song, imagine sitting at the ballpark eating a bag of peanuts and enjoying America’s greatest past time. Do you stand at the seventh-inning stretch to finish this song or throw up your arms as ‘the wave’ passes by? These are things that happen at baseball games all over the country, but do you ever stop and think how does everyone know what to do? Most likely, it’s because they were given the opportunity to experience these fun traditions and were able to treasure those memories with family and friends.
We are so thankful, because of the generosity of donors and sponsors that last year over 400 Villages’ children, families and friends were able to attend Family Night at Victory Field. The Villages’ was also able to give each child a Tribe Token to enjoy snacks like those we sing about and a Game Coupon to participate in pre-game festivities. What a joy it was to be able to give these children the opportunity to enjoy a night at the ballpark!
We ask for your support in creating these summer memories for all The Villages’ children and families at this year’s Family Night at Victory Field on Tuesday, July 21, at 7:05 p.m. Put your rally cap on and let’s hit our own grand slam of sending all The Villages’ children to the ball game along with Tribe Tokens and Game Coupons! In order for The Villages to receive $5.00 for each $10.00 ticket, tickets must be purchased through our website. You may also purchase tickets to donate back to our children and their families or purchase the ever popular Tribe Tokens!
The memories that you and I have are memories every child deserves and, with your help, The Villages’ children will be able to return to school in the fall and happily raise their hand to share a story about their summer or teach their friends how to do ‘the wave.’
