A Dynamic Partner: Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust

The Villages was awarded a generous $300,000 from the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust. The Trust was established in 1997 upon the death of Nina Mason Pulliam, a passionate humanitarian, journalist and business leader. The Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust seeks to help people in need, especially women, children and families; to protect animals and nature; and to enrich community life in the metropolitan areas of Indianapolis and Phoenix.
Nationally, as well as in Indiana, children are suffering because of a drastic shortage of high quality, nurturing foster homes. In partnership with the Trust, The Villages is committed to tirelessly building our organization’s capacity to serve even MORE of the state’s most vulnerable children by recruiting, screening, training, supporting and sustaining foster families who will open their hearts, their homes, and their lives to these resilient children and youth. The commitment and compassion of the Trust is brightening futures, one child at a time!
The unprecedented increase in the number of abused and neglected children in Indiana’s child welfare system has made the support that the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust is so generously providing for The Villages truly invaluable!
