Thank you for spreading awareness about healthy childhoods in Indiana

Participants gather for the annual Matt Breman Memorial Run 4Kids on April 15.

We are grateful for our partners, donors and families statewide for showing their support for healthy childhoods during Child Abuse Prevention Month. Here are a few highlights throughout April:

Matt Breman Memorial Run 4Kids

More than 225 friends and families of Prevent Child Abuse Indiana participated in the annual Matt Breman Memorial Run 4Kids on April 15. The event raised $11,365.00 to support education and services for the prevention of child abuse and neglect in our communities throughout Indiana. Special thank you to all our event sponsors, including our presenting sponsor, Old National Bank, and all the volunteers who made the event possible.

Life-Size Pinwheels

Hossain Marandi, MD, president of Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital and Sharon Pierce, President & CEO of The Villages, pose next to a life-size pinwheel.

Thousands of pinwheels are on display statewide as families, businesses and community organizations share the message of healthy childhoods for Hoosier children. Life-size pinwheels are on display through the end of the month at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent, Georgia Street Grind in Downtown Indianapolis, Donatello’s Italian Restaurant in Carmel on Main Street and Prevent Child Abuse Indiana’s Indianapolis office. Visitors are invited to take a selfie and post it on social media with #HappyKidsIN.

Pinwheel Garden

Pinwheels on display at The Villages office in Indianapolis.

Very special thanks to the dozens of volunteers who braved windy, rainy weather to help us create our annual pinwheel garden on the lawn of our Indianapolis building on Meridian Street.
