Step Up for Indiana’s Kids!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 18, 2026, for the Steps for Prevention Run/Walk formerly known as The Matt Breman Run. Our name may be changing, but this annual event continues to honor Matt’s incredible spirit and the ongoing work of Prevent Child Abuse Indiana.

Whether you run, walk, or cheer from the sidelines, your support fuels vital programs like Safe Tots and Bullying Prevention. We’re aiming for $30,000 this year to help Prevent Child Abuse Indiana (PCAIN) build better childhoods across the state.

Matt Breman

The Matt Breman Run celebrates the legacy of Matt Breman, and his love and advocacy for children. Matt, former Board President of Prevent Child Abuse Indiana, passed away unexpectedly in 2003, leaving behind his wife Rhonda Yoder Breman and children Jack and Elizabeth. This annual run/walk honors Matt’s dedication and significant involvement in working to Build Better Childhoods for ALL children in Indiana.
